Primarily, there are three standard weight classifications for these steel rails, which are 38 kg, 43 kg, and 50 kg. These weights refer to the mass of the rail per meter, and they are designed to meet varying requirements based on the expected load and usage conditions. Additionally, for select routes that may demand higher durability and strength, 45 kg rails are utilized. Furthermore, for routes that experience particularly high traffic volumes and require enhanced performance due to increased vehicle speeds, there are plans to implement 60 kg rails.
