There are two existing nitriding furnaces with an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of guage baffles or spikes for corrosion protection. Mainly used in subways or coastal areas.
Using the principle of chemical heat treatment combined with the company’s patented technology, ammonia and carbon dioxide are suspended in a heating furnace with steel parts and heated to about 620°C, forcing nitrogen atoms and carbon atoms into the metal surface without destroying the internal structure and size of the metal. This technology is suitable for corrosion protection of various bolts and Guage baffles. The characteristics of carbonitriding are that the thickness of the compound layer can be ≥35um; the micro-Vickers hardness of the compound layer is 450-650HV; more than 120 hours of neutral salt spray test, visually no rust spots; bolts and spikes are bent at 45° without breaking; the surface is wear-resistant, not afraid of scratches, and simple packaging.
