Surface Prep - Grind rail ends to 1:3 bevel (AREMA Fig 2.8.2)
Torque Sequence - 30% → 60% → 100% in crisscross pattern
Final Torque - 450 ft-lbs for 7/8" bolts (Use calibrated torque wrench)
Gap Control - Maintain 6±1mm joint gap at 20°C (68°F)
