The SKL14 rail clip (Vossloh SKL14 Rail Clip) is also known as SKL14 Tension Clamp, SKL14 Elastic Clip, W14 Rail Clip, and simply "W Clip" for its W-shape). SKL14 rail clips are used to fasten the rails to the concrete sleepers. They are widely applied to heavy-load and high-speed railway fastening systems.

SKL14 rail clip specification

SKL14 rail clip technical requirements  

• End-product surface: It is not allowed to have defects, peeling, corrosion, notches or cracks on the end-product surface.
• The rail clip surface shall have no metal rolling defects, and it shall conform to the requirements in the normative documents applicable to such metal rolling.
• Deformation: For the rail clip, the depth of depressions formed during bending and stamping shall not exceed 4% of its diameter, and the degree of diameter variation at the bending and marking positions shall not exceed 6%.
• The rail clip shall have a hardness of 43HRC～46HRC.
• Clamping Force: The clamping force of the rail clip shall not be less than 9KN when standard installation force is applied.
• Rail Clip Fatigue Property: 15HZ frequency, +0.5, -1.3mm amplitude, 13mm offset. It shall not break after 3 million cycles, and its deformation shall be no more than 2mm.
